FIM Motocross

日曜日はバルセロナから120kmほど離れたBellpuigという町でＭＸの世界選手権が行われＭＸを初観戦してきました。Ｍｘをトレーニングで乗る僕にとっては、なんでみんなあんなに速く走れるかレースを見て痺れました。あのコーナーのテクニックやジャンプのテクニックすごい。まるでパチンコ玉のようにギャップの上を走っていく選手達のテクニックと体力に感激しました。朝からあっという間の１日でしたが、昨年ミザノＧＰで僕のピットに来てくれたトニーカイロリ選手にも会うことができたので良かったです。彼は今年から３５０ｃｃに乗っているんです。周りはみんな４５０ｃｃなのに。。やっぱりコースによってはパワーよりハンドリングとか取り回しが重要になるんですね。
ＭＸ１、１ヒート目はＫＴＭのナーゲル選手が勝って２ヒート目はＨｏｎｄａのレオク選手が勝ちました。 今後のチャンピオンシップが楽しみです。ちなみに僕が昔好きだった選手はフランス人のピションです。
今週はそのフランスＧＰです。ルマンの天気と空港状況が心配ですが、今日は手首も抜糸したし全力で頑張ります。
FIM Motocross World Championship was held on Sunday at Bellpuig, which is about 120km away from Barcelona. It was the first time for me to watch on live. I only ride MX for training and I was shocked to see them all go so fast! Their corner techniques and jumping techniques were amazing! They reminded me of a pachinko-ball (Japanese pin-ball machine), fitting through in between each others in the air. I was very impressed by their techniques and their physical strength!
I was lucky I got to catch up with Tony Cairoli who I met last year in my pit at Misano GP. He is riding a 350cc this year but the other riders are riding the 450cc… I guess the handling is more important than the power depending on which track you are on. Race1 for MX1 was won by a KTM rider Nagl. Race 2 was won by a Honda rider Leok. I will be looking forward to the upcoming races.
Just to let you know, I used to like the French rider Pichon!
And yes the next round coming up is the French GP.
I am a little concerned about the airport conditions and also the weather at Le Mans, but since I got the stitches out of my wrist today, I will be putting my maximum power in to the next race.
