I’m back in Japan. I feel relaxed and I can feel a cold coming which is the usual case…
It happens all the time… I will be busy for a while as I have many things planned but I will try and deal with each one at a time. I will soon be heading to Hong Kong and China. I will not be able to have Japanese food for a while. When I return I will be attending the Redbull Break Dance event BC ONE and also a pocket bike event in Chiba which I am looking forward to. Bye for now.

向こうでの仕事もひと段落して、日本へ帰ってきました。気が抜けたせいかいきなり風邪を引いてしまいました。この時期はいつもこうなんですね。今回もすでにいろいろ予定が入っているので、しばらくは忙しそうですが、１つずつこなして行こうと思っています。まずは、これから香港、中国と行ってきます。日本食はしばらくおあずけです。
帰ってきたらＲｅｄＢｕｌｌのブレークダンスイベントBC ONEや千葉でポケバイのイベントがあるのでそれも楽しみです。
それでは行ってきます。

My last race with my current team… My goal was to achieve the best result for the season. My lap time improved each session and the bike was feeling better each time. I qualified 15th but the time difference was getting closer between the other riders and I was looking forward for the final race. It took a long time for the bike and the tyres to feel comfortable but as I was pacing up I got caught in with Capirossi… I tried to catch up with the group in front but I was isolated and finished 14th.
The result is very frustrating but I did what I could.
My first year in MotoGP. I felt a bit lost in transition... Short time given for the tests was a tough situation… It was a difficult year but thank you so much for my team for putting your maximum effort through! And thank you for all my sponsors and fans! Lastly, I would like to announce the negotiation between Team Gresini has finally come to an agreement. I will be racing again in MotoGP next year.
I look forward to my whole new season to come. I would greatly appreciate your continuous support in year 2011.


今回は、このチームで最後のレース、今年一番の結果を出したいと思い初日から走って行きました。各セッションで少しずつタイムも詰まっていき、マシンのフィーリングも徐々に上がっていきました。予選は１５番手でしたがタイム差が詰まっていたので、決勝に向けては期待して臨んでいきました。決勝は、序盤のマシンとタイヤのフィーリングが良くなるまで時間が掛り、ペースを上げて行きたいところで順位を落として、フィーリングが上がってからはカピロッシに引っかかってしまい、グループに追いつこうとペースを上げましたが、最後は単独の１４位でゴールしました。最後まで全力で走っての結果です。この悔しさを次に繋げて行きたいと思います。
今年はＭＯＴＯＧＰにステップアップをして、大きな変化に戸惑い、短いテストに苦戦する、大変な年になりましたが、最後まで全力を尽くしてくれたチーム、いつも応援してくださるスポンサー、ファンの皆さんに感謝しています。
来期は、シーズン途中から話をしていたグレシー二チームとの交渉も最終戦後にまとまり、決定が遅くなりましたが、２シーズン目を迎えられる運びになりました。新たな気持ちで、新しいシーズンに期待したいと思います。　来年も皆さんの応援宜しくお願いします。

I am privileged to be given a high praise for last year’s title by the Ministry of Sports. I am also very happy for Alberto to be praised for his coaching. This could not have happened without your supports! Honda, Arai, MFJ to name just a few and of coarse the warmest supports from the fans too!! You are all a great encouragement for me to try harder!
I wasn’t able to say much about the next season but soon it will be announced. I signed a 2 year contract with my current team and we were working till the last minute to continue to take part in year 2011. But unfortunately this plan had changed and my team will not be participating next year. Currently we are negotiating with Team Gresini for my transfer. I wish if I could officially announce my situation soon, but I need to concentrate on the last remaining race. I will try hard and hopefully I achieve the best result with my current team.

今回、文部科学省から昨年のタイトルを讃えられ、とても誇りに思います。指導者としてアルベルトも一緒に顕彰されることも、とても嬉しいことです。HONDA、ARAI、MFJを始めとする関係者のご支援、いつも温かい応援をしてくださるファンの皆さんのおかげです。今後もこれを励みに、頑張っていきたいと思います。
今までなかなかコメント出来なかった来期に関しても、もう少しで決まりそうです。 現在所属するチームとは2年契約があり、継続参戦に向けてチームは最後まで動いていましたが、残念ながら最終的に現チームは、来年参戦出来ないことになり、今はグレシー二チームに移籍できるように話が進んでいます。早く公式に発表できればと思いますが、今は、残りのレースに集中していきたいのが今の気持ちです。今のチームとベストの結果が出せるように今週も頑張りたいと思います。応援宜しくお願いします。

This week we have been tossed around by the bad weather. Heavy rain, strong wind and it was almost dangerous to ride. Practice sessions 1, 2 and 3 were all held in the wet conditions, followed by a very wet qualifying. Unfortunately the weather was so bad the qualifying had to be cancelled. All free practice times were calculated together to work out the grid positions, and I was placed 16th. The warm up lap was still in the wet condition and had no dry sessions at all till the final race.
I was hoping the track will still be wet for the final race but then it dried up. Only the actual race was held in the dry which made it difficult. Braking points and the lines in the dry was challenging me at the start, but as I got used to riding I paced up and was up in the 10th position. I was trying to catch up with Melandri who was 4 seconds ahead of me when my rear slid at the hair-pin. I managed to stay on the bike but went out of the track and back to the 12 position… There is nothing I can do as this is a result of me trying harder… I will put my regrettable feelings towards the next race in Valencia.

今回は荒れた天気に翻弄されたウェークになりました。初日から大雨強風と走るのは危険と思えるコンディションで、プラクティス１、２、３はウェットになり、予選も雨でしたがコンディションがあまりに悪くキャンセルされて、プラクティスの総合タイムでグリットが決められ、16番手グリットからのスタートになりました。決勝日のウォームアップもウェットになり、決勝までドライのセッションは一度もないままの状態で、レースはウェットになって欲しいと願っていたのですが、決勝はドライになり、初ドライ走行がレースになるという難しいレースになりました。特に序盤はドライでのブレーキングポイント、ラインが安定するまで試行錯誤して、まとまってきた中盤からポジションを上げてきい10位まで上がり、４秒ほど前にいたメランドリに追いつこうとさらにペースを上げていった時にヘアピンの進入でリアが大きく流れてしまい、転倒は避けましたがコースアウトして大分ロスして12位に落ちてしまいました。悔しいですが攻めていっての結果なのでしかたがない。この気持ちを次のバレンシアにぶつけます。
