Fortunately, I had some to time to go and visit Mr. Sakuma who is the Mayor of Ichihara-city, my home town. Thank you for arranging a time for me in your busy schedule. He is always full of energy and he even came and supported my race at Japanese GP in October. We’ve talked about the past season, a schedule for next year and he even gave me a frank speech about what has been happening locally. The Mayor is full of vitality! Being at home is so good. It gave me a lot of power! I would also like to thank all the members of the local fan club! I will be looking forward to seeing you all at Motegi again!

日本を出る前に、地元市原市の佐久間市長の所へも挨拶へ行くことが出来ました。忙しいスケジュールを調整していただきありがとうございました。いつも元気いっぱいで応援してくださる市長、今年は10月の茂木GPまで応援に来て頂き現地で応援してくださいました。　先日は、今年の報告、来年の体制や地元のざっくばらんな話まで、いろいろな話を聞かせてもらいました。ホントに市長さんバイタリティーに溢れています。地元はやっぱりいいですね。エネルギーを貰いました。僕も市原市観光大使として、サッカー、野球に負けないように頑張りたいと思います。
そして、地元後援会の方々もいつも応援ありがとうございす。来年もみんなで応援シート宜しくお願いします！

Thank you to many of you who attended an event at Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama. I was injured badly during the season and it sure was a complicated season overall. I believe this tough experience will lead me well into my next step. A big change for the next season with a new team in a new environment! I would like to re-fresh my self and become a new man! This time the event was held for both bike racing and car racing. I’m sure a lot of you were confused by the conversations which were made by riders and drivers? There were a lot of Q&A’s and the time passed so quickly. I have no knowledge of car racing at all but I am very interested and would like to go and watch a race in the near future.

先日、１８日にHONDAウェルカムプラザ青山でイベントが行われ沢山の方々に足を運んで頂きました。ありがとうございます。　今シーズンは、大きな怪我などもあり思うような走りが出来なかったので、複雑なシーズンとなりましたが、これが今後に繋がると思っています。　来年は、チームも変わり心機一転、新しい環境です。気持ちを新たに頑張りたいと思います。　今回のフェアは、２輪４輪のイベントということもあり、ファンの方々もライダー、ドライバーの会話を不思議に思ったのではないでしょうか? クイズや質問コーナーもあり、あっという間の２時間でしたね。楽しい時間になりました。
　４輪には無知ですが、とても興味があるので今度はレースにも足を運んでみたいと思います。　

My visit home again was such a short time but I managed to catch up with many people and I’m satisfied about that. But there is never enough time…
This picture was taken at Arai Helmet and I thank you all for your kindness. The manufacturing of a helmet involves a lot of progress. It is full custom made. My helmet is handled by many people before I get to wear it at the track. There are probably over 100 processes to go thorough, and this helmet is handled very carefully and modified in every way to suit my head comfortably. It is invisible how much effort is put into one helmet but I sure do appreciate everyone for all their times. Thank you all for your incredible job.

今回の帰国もいろいろありましたが、短い時間でいろいろな方に会えてとても充実した時間にできました。でも時間が足りない感がいつもあるんですよね。それは寂いしところ。
これは、アライヘルメットへ挨拶に行った時の写真、いつも挨拶へ行ってもすごく細かいところまで気を使ってくださる皆さん。ありがとうございます。　ヘルメットが出来るまでには沢山の工程があって、まさに手作り。僕がサーキットで被るまでに、ものすごい数の人達の手に掛って届けられる、100工程ぐらいはあるのかな？もっともっとあるかもしれない。そして、僕が走る直前まで、サービスの方がベストの状態で走れるように手を掛けてくれます。そこはなかなか表にでない裏方、レースもそうだけども、やはり、その積み重ねで違いになるのだと思います。ホントにいつも感謝です。皆さん、いつもありがとうござます。

I’ve been so busy I didn’t have time to update my blog or to go to sleep. I will let you know what happened in my future update. I’m going to take a rest now…The reason why I need a rest is because my flight was cancelled 3 times in Paris! It took me 32 hours to get here! It was terrible! Thank you to all those Japanese people who helped me out. I appreciate it.

更新が開いてしまいましたね。先週は、寝る間もなくバタバタといろいろなことがありました。何があったかは、また今度載せますね。これから少し睡眠を。。なぜかって、それはパリでが３度キャンセルになってしまい、着くまでに32時間掛ったからです。散々でした。でも、そんな中、日本人の方々に助けて頂き無事に到着しました。皆さん、
どうもありがとうございました。

今日は、TV番組BS11の「大人のバイク時間MOTORISE」の取材で収録をしてきました。慣れない収録で緊張しましたが、中野真矢さん、三井忍さんとの対談で、お二人に助けて頂いて無事に終了。
放送は12月19日(日)22:00〜23:00放送です。是非皆さん見てくださいね。
楽屋では、モトクロスのチャンピオン益春菜選手、トライアルチャンピオン小川友幸選手、8耐優勝の高橋巧選手も一緒で、斜めジャンプの仕方の話になり「飛ぶ前にフロントを滑らせるか、リアをながします」っと、丁寧に教えてくれた春菜ちゃん、可愛らしいのに走らせると大物（汗）今度は一緒に練習したい。でも、きっと付いていけませんね。
明日は、茂木のスクールです。明日は午後から天気も良くなるそうなので、是非みなさん参加してくださいね！

I managed 2x HITS at the “Racers Baseball Comp” today. I hadn’t played baseball for nearly a year but it’s always a good feeling when the bat hits the ball! Every sport is fun in a different way! I’m glad I didn’t upset my team this time…. I am on full throttle and running out of time everyday. I’d like to update my blog more often but I will try and do that in near future when I have time.
I caught up with the car driver Kazuki Nakajima. This wasn’t the first time we met, but we shared a lot of stories together mostly talking about how we feel about our careers and the differences between 2 wheels and 4 wheels. He is a fine young man who has a lot of ideas not only about racing but about his future too. We have a lot in common and it would be interesting to put our ideas together in the future.
I will be at Yatabe again tomorrow for more MX riding! I need to practice more! My next event is at Motegi. I hope I get to see you all there!

今日は、レーサーズ野球無事終了しました。　久々1年ぶりにバットをもったのに2回もヒットして、球が前に飛んだ時は気持ち良かった。それぞれのスポーツ違った面白さ快感があるんですね。今回は、チームの足を引っ張らなくてよかった（汗）
野球以外にも、いろいろとフル可動で活動しています。毎日時間が足りない！いろいろ載せたいけども、また今度追って少しずつ載せていきたいと思います。
そんなバタバタとした毎日ですが、昨日は4輪の中嶋一貴選手と一緒になる機会があり、2時間ほど2輪、4輪の違いや今レース全般に感じることなどに関して話しました。初対面ではなかったのですがすごく好青年でいろいろと感じて、考えていて、今後はレースだけではなく、いろいろな構想をもっているのが分かりました。同じように考えている部分が幾つもあるし、今後何か一緒にできたら面白いな。
カテゴリはちがうけれども、彼に負けないように僕も頑張っていきたい。

明日は、またMXバイクでで気分転換に行ってきます。先日の谷田部でしっかり練習してきます。
そして、次のイベントは茂木です。是非みなさん遊びにきてくださいね。

I rode a motocross at Yatabe Enjoy Sportsland. I don’t really have a chance to ride during the off-season, so it was a good opportunity for me to train. Mr. Wheelie Matsuuura lend me the bike today and I had a great time practicing with all the other riders.
Off-road requires a different riding style from road bikes, and was very hard (especially the bumps and jumps) although it was definitely a good experience and practice. The track was beautifully maintained and was very comfortable to ride. I will try and make a time for my next visit.

I only have three days to go till my baseball comp…. and I still haven’t done any practicing….

先日、スケジュールの合間をみて、モトクロスに乗ってきました。この時期はなかなかバイクに乗れないのですごく貴重な練習になりました。今回は、ウィリー松浦さんにバイクを貸していただいて、練習させてもらい楽しい一日を過ごせました。一緒に走ってくださった皆さんもありがとうございました。
　ロードとは違う走りが要求され難しいですね。（特にジャンプとかコブ）でもいい勉強だし練習になりますね。 今回は谷田部エンジョイスポーツランドで練習してきました。手入れがされていてとても走りやすいコースですね。また、時間を作って行けるようにしたいです。

I am taking a part in “riding school” which will be held at Twin Ring Motegi on Tuesday 14th December. I will be leading the group on the track on my bike, and will also be giving riding advices to other riders. I hope the weather will be good, but I’m sure I’ll be riding in the rain too! “Racers baseball comp” is on the 11th and there will also be an event held at Honda Welcome Plaza on the 18th. 12月14日（火）ツインリンクもてぎで行われる、ライディングスクールに参加します。ライディングのアドバイスや、皆さんと一緒に走って先導走行などをさせてもらいます。天気良くなって欲しいですね。もちろん雨でも走りますよ！
11日は、レーサーズ野球大会、18日は、ホンダウェルカムプラザでもイベントが行われるので、各イベント詳しくはこのHPのインフォメーションをチェックしてみてください。ファン、ライダーの方々と交流できる事を楽しみにしておきます。 関東今日は雨ですね。でも、これから合間をみて野球練習しないと。。。

２９日、文部科学省でスポーツ功労者顕彰を頂いてきました。 今回は、１人での授与式で、わざわざ時間を作ってくださった政務官、関係者の方々に感謝します。昨年のチャンピオン獲得が思いだされ、来年に向けてさらに身が引き締まる思いです。功労者顕彰受賞に相応しいライダー、そしてスポーツマンになっていけるように頑張っていきたいです。
応援してくださった皆さんにも感謝です。本当にありがとうございました。

I went and watched the Redbull Break Dance competition. It was fantastic! I never knew a “forged human power” could make people do that! They were jumping, hopping, spinning like a rubber spring to a random music that was playing! World class dancers sure gave me the stimulation!! Unfortunately photography was not allowed this time. If you have some spare time, I suggest you to go on Redbull website and have a look at these amazing dancers.
The following day was the “Aoyama Brothers Cup” at Chiba North pocket bike course. The weather was perfect and the kids were riding their bikes in high spirits! I was there as a presenter and also waved the checked flag. And yes I joined the race! This track is where I originally started racing and I have a lot of happy memories here. It’s always great to see the children enjoying them selves. It really amazes me how time flies. No one can rewind the time, and that is why we have to put the best effort at this present time…

日本に帰国してすぐにRedBullのブレイクダンス大会を見に行きました。あれは凄い、人間は鍛錬であそこまでいけるんですね。まるでゴムのバネの様に跳ねたり、飛んだり、回ったり。ランダムに流れる曲に合わせてダンスをしてくれました。世界レベルのダンスを見れとても良い刺激になりました。今回は写真が撮れなかったので残念です。是非機会があればRedBullのHPで映像をチェックしてみてください。
翌日は、ポケバイの青山兄弟杯が千葉北ポケバイコースで行われ、当日は天気も良く子供達も元気いっぱいに走ってくれました。僕は、チェッカーフラッグを振り、プレゼンターをしてレースに参加してきました。ここは自分がレースを始めた原点なので、今の子供たちのレースを見るのは懐かしい思いがいつもあります。とても良い思い出です。ほんとについ最近まであの子たちの様だったのに時間が過ぎるのは早いですね。
時間は戻せないだからこそ今を頑張らないといけないんですね。
