開幕戦のため記載が遅くなってしまいました。

Those are charity website information for victims in Japan. A lot of people are suffering over there. What we can do for them now? It would be one of the certain help. I wish they will recover as soon as possible and seeing smiley people over there again. I support it as much as I can.

A minute silent was held before the race for those who have lost their lives in the earthquake disaster which struck Japan recently. Thank you so much to all the staff, riders and the rest of the people who offered a silent prayer. It meant a lot to me especially as being Japanese myself.

The opening lap was unexpected trying to avoid contact with Capirossi and also lost my position trying to avoid De Puniet’s fall. I was trying to catch up with the others and the lap times being quite close to my lap record, I caught up to 9th position but unfortunately I struggled with Barbera’s conquest, meanwhile Nicky took the chance to go ahead of me and I finished 10th. Sadly a chaotic start delayed and affected my position. It was definitely a better outcome compared to last year’s opening race but I must admit I would have been a lot happier if I had finished in a higher position. I was comfortable with my first ever race with Team Gresini and I am happy with the result of each staff’s dedicated work. Thank you to all my team members! In the next race, I would like to manage the starting battle better to gain a higher position.

皆さんの応援ありがとうございました。
今回のレース前には日本の震災のために１分間の黙祷が行われました。黙祷をしてくださった沢山の関係者、スタッフ、ライダーに感謝します。日本人としてはぐっと来るものがありました。
レースの方は、スタートしてすぐにカピロッシとの接触を避けるためにラインを外し、その後もドプ二エの転倒を避けるために大きく順位を落としてしまい。理想の序盤ではなかったのですが、そこから追い上げる形のレースになり、ベストに近いペースで９位まで追い上げましたが、バルべラの攻略にてまどり、その隙に追いついてきたニッキーに最後は先行されての１０位でのゴールになりました。序盤の混乱での遅れが大きく響いたレース展開になってしまいました。初レースとしては、去年よりも良い内容でしたが、もっと前でゴールしたかったのは当然です。
グレシーニチームとは初レースでしたが、しっかりと各スタッフが仕事をこなしてくれるので、気持ち良くレースに臨めました。チームスタッフに感謝。次のレースは、序盤の混戦で上手く前に出られるような展開に持って行き少しでも前に上がっていきたいと思います。

I was stunned by the video footage I saw on the TV screen at Barcelona airport. I was on my way to Qatar and what I saw was a massive shake and then cars getting washed away. I knew straight away that this was going to be a serious matter. I feel I need to do something but I am here away from Japan and feeling helpless. When I think of the suffering victims, I honestly can not concentrate on my test or the race right now. It is just heartbreaking. But even if I did go back to Japan, there is nothing I can do to help them and I will just get in the way of everyone… When I think of how helpless I am it really is irritating.
I have been receiving a lot of supportive messages from all around the world. You all give me endless support and I would like to do the same to those who are struck by this horrific earthquake and going through this tragic right now.
As I am an athlete, my job right now is to stay where I am and get on with my work and hopefully I will be able to show everyone the happy news. I can not stop thinking about this earthquake although I am a professional sportsman. I will continue to participate in the test this week… and I guess this is all I can do for now…
Hopefully I will come up with better ways to help the affected victims in the near future and I will be updating more information here. I appreciate to all those Self-Defence Forces, Fire-Fighters, Police Officers and to all the volunteers. Thank you and I know we will pull through this devastation with strength and courage. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

突然の地震、僕はカタールに移動するバルセロナの空港でＴＶをみて驚きました。大きな揺れ、流される車、大変な事になってしまったとすぐに感じました。自分自身は海外にいて、今すぐに何かの助けをすることが出来ず。被害に遭い現地で苦しんでいる人達の事を考えるとテストやレースどころではありません。全くそんな気持ちになれない。 でもだからと言って今自分が帰国現地に行っても何が出来るわけでもない、きっと邪魔になってしまうだけ、そう考えると何もできない事にもどかしさと、自分の無力さに悔しさを感じます。

僕の所にも海外から日本を応援する沢山のメッセージが海外から届いています。いつもみんなが僕を応援してくれます。僕も自分の出来る形で被災された方を応援したいと思います。きっと僕に出来ると事は、一アスリートとして、自分の場所で自分の仕事をこなし、自分の力を発揮して、明るいニュースを届けること。今は、地震の事が頭から離れませんが、明日から始まるテストはプロのスポーツ選手として、自分のテストをこなすこと。それが今出来る事の一つ、きっと今後もっと出来る事が見えてくると思うので、その時は情報をアップしていきたいと思います。

現地に向かわれた、自衛隊、消防士、警察官、ボランティアの方がたに感謝します。 僕の分も現地の方を助けてあげて下さい。
少しでも多くの方が助かるように、僕はカタールから自分の気持ちを送ります。

On 2nd March a team presentation was held at Monza Circuit in Italy. I was surprised by the large number of TV and other media involved with this event. This picture clearly shows that I am a head smaller then him…. And the difference between the volumes of our hair is magnificent….
I am back in Barcelona now thinking of all of the places I have visited so far this year. Austria, Germany, Czech, Barcelona, Malaysia, Japan, Italy, Barcelona, France, Barcelona, Malaysia, Barcelona, Italy, Barcelona. I’ve moved around 14 times in 8 different countries! And I will be going to Qatar and Japan next. I always seem to get a cold while I'm in Japan so I will try my best to keep away from it. An opening race is coming up soon and also the Japanese GP.

３月２日イタリアMonzaサーキットでチームプレゼンテーションをしてきました。
ＴＶやメディアなどが沢山参加し凄く盛大なイベントでビックリしました。イタリアのMotoGP人気を感じました。
日本でも！と改めて思いました。

この写真は、壁に貼ってあったパネルですが、これは同じ所に立って背中合わせに撮ったものなんですけど、まさに頭一つ分違いますね。髪のボリュームも違います。
今はバルセロナに戻ってきましたが、最近移動が多いなと思い今年に入ってからの移動を数えてみました。オーストリア、ドイツ、チェコ、ＢＣＮ、マレーシア、日本、イタリア、ＢＣＮ、フランス、ＢＣＮ、マレーシア、ＢＣＮ、イタリア、ＢＣＮ、８カ国を１４回、移動したんです。この後は、カタール、日本と移動するので、日本ではいつも風邪を引いて体調を壊すので最善の注意をしたいと思います。

もう少しで開幕、そして日本です。
